I’m thrilled to invite all of you to the Vote 16 World Forum convened by Vote 16 Canada happening Tuesday at 12 EST:
This forum is a great opportunity to hear from some of the leading voices in the world figuring out how to best implement Vote 16 policies.
Speakers include policy makers, activists, and scholars involved in Vote 16 efforts all over the globe!
Canada
Senator Marilou McPhedran
Senator McPhedran is the Senator for Manitoba who has introduced a bill to lower the voting age to 16 in Canada and whose previous Vote16 bill made it to the committee stage.
Member of Parliament Taylor Bachrach
MP Bachrach represents the riding of Skeena-Bulkley Valley in the Canadian House of Commons and has introduced a bill to lower the voting age to 16 in Canada that is supported by members of every major Canadian political party.
Dave Meslin, Vote16Canada
Dave is a Canadian democracy activist, author of Teardown: 100 Remedies for a Broken Democracy, and a leader in the Vote 16 Canada movement

Halima Yusuf, British Youth Council
Halima is the Policy and Public Affairs Assistant at the British Youth Council which has coordinated the Votes at 16 campaign across the UK.
Jan Eichhorn, University of Edinburgh
Jan is a leading scholar studying what happens when democracies lower the voting age - as 22 countries have done already.
